Spacial Lander
Brand Design
1st year of University
I started off at deciding the definition of the work problem. Following this I defined the mission I intended to do, as well as the planet it was visioned upon.
After, it was realized an extensive research and data collection on the fundamental components for the Lander as well as the necessary methods and techniques for the mission itself. A survey was also carried out and aesthetic analysis was chosen between steampunk and diesel-punk, mine being steampunk. in addition, was made a historical analysis of the Landers built throughout history. Next was the beginning of creative development. Here, several Landers were made, specifically 20, in which the objective was to create and experiment with various structures and combinations between the components and the lander itself, in a way for them to work correctly as expected.
Chosen Landers:
After completing the 4 stages of creative development, we reached the last one where we had to choose only 3 that we thought were ideal.Mine were these, due to the structure and position of the chosen components. what he wanted was a medium-sized Lander, with plenty of interior space and with a wide base that supported the entire lander, and also that could withstand landing, both on land and in liquid.
Final lander:
In the end, there was only one lander left, which is the one you see on the screen. At the beginning there were always flaws in terms of aesthetics and certain components were missing, so my goal was to solve these flaws, giving another look to the final lander.
Nucleus study:
After the correction of the lander, a study of possible cores was carried out according to the previously researched aesthetics and behavior, these being the results.the objective of this study was to find and combine the ideal colors for the lander, and i chose to follow the brown and gold colors, as in the first Image.
Model:
Then came one of the most important parts of this project, the construction phase of the model, it was a long and difficult process but at the same time fun and something that gave rise to other perspectives and problems that had not been encountered before. with this model some changes were made to the structure of the lander or this would not be possible to build.
Modeling:
Last but not least, the 3D lander was created in Blender. It was an extensive phase with a lot of detail and laborious, however, it was a fun project and eyeopener for the future to come.
